Welcome to ‘The Healthcare Manager’

This site is developed for making healthcare delivery better. This is being done through two approaches, as given below,
  •       Making patients informed about hospital and healthcare delivery processes so that they get empowered to get their healthcare needs appropriately fulfilled

  •     Developing capabilities of healthcare managers by providing them insights, research findings, experiential and other learning related to healthcare delivery management

You will find a number of useful articles, posts, case-studies and other contents related to hospitals and healthcare delivery processes. The contents are targeted primarily to two main stakeholders of the healthcare, that is, patients and providers.

For ease of navigation each posts in this site is grouped under following labels

'For Patients' - Lack of awareness among patient community affects their healthcare. To address this, the label ‘For patient’ contains all posts that a patient may find useful while availing healthcare and hospital services.

'Quality and accreditation' – A large number of managerial issues in healthcare can be addressed through quality. Accreditation is a tool that is increasingly being used in hospitals as a solution to wide range of patient care and organizational problems. The posts under this contains useful contents related to quality and accreditation of healthcare.

'Hospital Operations' - Hospital functioning is complex in nature and it requires continuous learning to facilitate patient care processes in a hospital. Under ‘Hospital Operations’, posts related to managing hospital functions efficiently has been grouped.

'Hospital Business' - Posts under this are primarily meant for hospital’s business managers. The posts cover important topics that are important from business, marketing, finance and policy point of view


'Cases and Quizzes' - This label contains collection of various case studies and quizzes related to healthcare industry, for enhancing practical knowledge of healthcare managers.
